John Edward Adamson, 89 of Kendall Park died on January 13, 2020 with his wife by his side. Born on July 6, 1930 in Newark New Jersey, he grew up in the Vailsburg section of Newark. He graduated from West Side High School and attended Newark College of Engineering. He then worked for Weyerhauser Company in Newark for over 20 years. Later in life he attended Parsons School of Design of the New School for Social Research in New York City and pursued a career in graphic design.
John was an outstanding bowler for years. He married Carol Elizabeth Jones in 1968. They resided in Kendall Park for their married life. They both belonged to the Short Hills Ski Club for 50 years and enjoyed staying at the club’s lodge and pursuing their passion for skiing. They skied many places in the United States and Canada, Alta and Solitude in Utah being their favorites. After retiring, John and his wife also enjoyed traveling for 20 years in the United States and Europe. Their favorite trips were month-long trip to England, Scotland and France.
